Design and Writing Objectives and Planned Outputs

Outputs: CMP print objective a) To Take Back to the Community

1. Pamphlet – Get Home Safe (walking home together in groups from taverns)

Concept: Encourage community to come up with ways of getting these off the ground

Self sustaining community initiative

Needed: Written content advocating scheme (Writers)

Pictures (Photographers)

2. Brochure – History of Taverns (Then and Now:)

Concept: The role of Taverns in the community, impact on the social fabric

Needed: Written content and archive pics (Writers - Anna)

Pictures (Photographers)

3. Poster – Responsible Tavern Drinking

Concept: promote safe drinking

Needed: Written content (Writers)

Designed Poster (Designers)

4. Banner – Youth Wish List/ Banner of Hope

Concept: School children’s hopes/wishes for their community

Underlying social issues of the community

Needed: Written content - children’s wishes/hopes/drawings (Writers+Designers)

Pictures – school children (Photographers)

5. Blog

Concept: Showcasing Group Work

(Optional but recommended.)

Needed: Content (TV/Writers/Radio?)

6. Survey

Concept: Find out the key issues surrounding crime in the community

Addition to focus group information (supplement for those who didn’t attend)

Needed: Written content i.e. questions/intro blurb (Writers + group contributions)

7. Logo

Concept: Capture groups objectives/identity

Enable community to easily identify with our group and our work

Useful marketing tool – help carry our message across different hypothetical platforms e.g. coasters, stickers, group letterheads, group blog sites, news mag name plate, etc

(Optional but recommended.)

Needed: Design (Designers + group contributions to logo design)

Outputs: CMP print objective b) To Aggregate Group Work

8. News magazine (2 copies for marking purposes)

Concept: Showcasing group work across the specializations

Needed: All content capable of being used in print. (Group)

News Mag ideas: i) community vox pops (Radio)

ii) comic strip (Designers)
